Adding a new email account in Out 2003
When you purchase a new domain name (site name) from you ISP or website designer you inevitably have new email accounts set-up for you under this new name or you may be using your ISP's bespoke email reader but would really like to collect all your emails through one package such as Outlook
How do you set-up Outlook to collect your different emails?
Let's assume you have purchased www.holidayhomes.co.uk and you have had you have had admin@holidayhomes.co.uk set-up for you.
To set-up the admin@holidayhomes.co.uk
Open Outlook and go to
Tools, Accounts

Select the mail tag and choose add then mail

Put a display name in say “Admin”

Click next
Enter the email address is admin@holidayyhomes.co.uk

Click next
The incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) is mail.holidayhomes.co.uk
The outgoing mail (SMTP) is Mail.yourISP (e.g. mail.btopenworld.com if your ISP is BT Openworld)
If you are not sure what your outgoing mail (SMTP) is ask you web designer or ISP or select another mail account, select properties and click the servers tag. Here you will
find details of your outgoing mail (SMTP)

Click next
Account name is admin@holidayhomes.co.uk
Password is your password for this account (This should be given to you by your web designers or ISP)

Click next
Select I will establish my Internet connection manually

Click Next

Click finished
Go to Tools, Accounts and you will see your new account
If you are using Outlook 2000 Highlight the new entry Select Properties, change to your display name to Admin. There seems to be a bug in outlook that does not enter the correct name in the display name. Seems to be OK in outlook express
